Over the past 40+ years, our journey has been filled with significant milestones, challenges, and triumphs. From the humble beginnings of our inception to our current position, we have navigated through ever-changing landscapes and market dynamics. 1984 - The Birth
Haredata Electronics began in 1984 as a manufacturer of our own range of linear power supplies and chargers. These products gained significant popularity and were supplied to many companies over the years, remaining in production until 2005.
In 1986, Haredata partnered with FRIWO Geratebau GmbH, a global leader in low voltage external power supplies and battery chargers. Today, we are proud to be one of FRIWO’s longest-serving agents.
Through our long-standing relationship with FRIWO, Haredata Electronics has remained at the forefront of external power supply and battery charger design. FRIWO was one of the first companies to recognize the advantages of switchmode power supplies, designing market-leading products in response to OEM requirements, including the first external interchangeable unit for worldwide use.
2005 - A New Era
In 2005, the company underwent a management buyout and has continued to grow ever since.
We relocated twice—from our original premises in the centre of town to a larger unit on the outskirts of Harrogate.
Since 2012, our home has been a 10,000 ft² facility on the south side of Knaresborough.
2012 - Expansion
In 2012, we expanded our product range to include FRIWO's Li-Ion battery packs, designed and engineered to the same high standards the market expects from FRIWO. We also offered a full range of NiMH batteries and battery packs through our recent partnership with GP Batteries. Additionally, we provide a wide selection of mains leads for various industrial applications, offering our customers a comprehensive source for their power needs.
However, we are more than just a distributor. We provide in-depth design and technical support to our OEM customers, along with a wide range of value-added assembly services.
2020 - Innovation
2020 marked a year of new innovations, including the latest NEO PSU, new IoT-based technology
And most excitingly, a brand-new Drive System Solution known as E-Mobility.
2024 - Development
Just like any other technology, advancements and enhancements are always on the horizon.
In our role as a provider of power supplies, batteries, chargers, and motor controls, innovation is key! Exciting new developments are currently in progress to offer even more for your product.
